A recent gathering in Madrid united faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The dialogue included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco Madrid artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how mutual knowledge can strengthen coexistence.
In the discussion, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
